Story
I'm taking a trip to the States to participate in the New York City Marathon in 2011!
Well, with something called a torn meniscus in my knee it will be an interesting run/job/walk/hobble/limp/crawl/lurch/roll..
I have been associated with Amnesty International for almost 20 years - it is so easy to get comfortable and self-absorbed in our little Australian world, that I appreciate Amnesty keeping me abreast of what is going on elsewhere in the world, and I support their commitment to giving a voice to the voiceless.
So, when the opportunity came up to run (or maybe jog - amble - walk - stumble - crawl) the New York Marathon and help Amnesty at the same time, it really was an easy decision.
